Disease after-effect

17.10.2012       11:46       Day 36       Edik

Yesterday, at 10 pm, I received a phone call from the chief of mom’s work, Svetlana Valentinovn, who asked me to come urgently. Mom got sick. When I came, I saw her in a terrible state. I tried to wake her up, but she didn’t reply to me. She was lying with her eyes open and wheezing. Then she woke up, started talking, but then couldn’t recognize me from time to time. She started telling something, then forgot and it was like a mess in her head. I got scared.

First, I thought that she took some sleeping pills, but then realized that there was nothing to do with pills here. I called the ambulance. When the doctor arrived, she had a temperature around 40. They injected her and she started coming around. The doctor said she had pneumonia, and insisted on hospitalization, however mom refused to go. I asked not to listen to her and took mom to the hospital. In the hospital, when we were already placed in the ward, she wanted to go home again. She said that she felt much better and that she was healthy. I asked not to let her go, waited for the drop counter to be set up and then left.

I couldn’t calm down at home. I always remembered mom’s face, when I just saw her. It is hard to describe your feelings, when you see that mom feels bad. I mean, I got used to the fact that mom complains from time to time, but since she works and does house work, you, sort of, get used to it. You think, maybe it’s not that bad. Moreover, elder people love to complain about something…

The fear that mom can die tormented me as crazy. I’ve no idea, how I’m gonna live without her. Let it be joy or problem, I always call her or come to share. Plus, I have nowhere to live, if this ever happens. We don't have our own home. How can you pay for the rent and food from one salary? I've no clue how mom manages to do it. Well, it's nothing. The most important thing is that I simply cannot live without mom.

I barely waited till the morning and then left to the church. Only God can help me. He is the only one I have faith to. Then, a long time ago, he helped me and mom indeed felt much better. I wish father Pavel was here in the city. He would definitely find the proper words, so I would feel better.

We try to make our lives tranquil but it never happens to be like this always...Sleeping pills, quarrels...indeed our nerves just get tired from it.
    Hope everything turns out successfully.

We forgot about deeds! We forgot about courage!
We forgot about seeds that become the flowers of carnage!
    Stop reaping it! Stop!
And one day it will be cut. No more carnage. Just courage.

I hate fuckers that always push and press when someone is weak. It is not just about emotional state, his mommy is sick and it is fatal disease. You know, we must cut out this dumbass behavior and attitude. One must comprehend that it is a huge problem. Not just a problem but a huge problem.
I haven't seen Eddie but I do believe that everything is going to be alright. And it's not just set expression. It is a LAW. It happens to turn out...that once motherfuckers act bitchlike the same bitchlike response will hit him later. Keep your dreams alive, Eddie!

Can one be sure of anything in this life?
Brick falls, some have helmets, some have roofs...and some suffer like Eddie and his mom.
It is a custom that life drops its bricks. It is a custom.

If there were someone who could definitely find proper words when we are in trouble...

  • Claire, 20.10.12, 06:12

You're stronger than you think, Eddie. And your strenghth is what your mom needs now most of all.

  • Rita, 19.10.12, 21:40

It must be really horrible to chek up every day whether your mom is more or less ok, and if she didn't take too much drugs... A hard thig, really. I pity you.

  • Jill, 18.10.12, 08:16

It's great to have such a son like you. Your mother must be proud of you, Eddie.

  • Jinna, 17.10.12, 13:01

    Just hold on, ok?
