While it´s not too late

22.10.2012       14:54       Day 41       Ludmila

I don´t feel comfortable while talking about my health problems. Moreover, the prognosis is quite disappointing. I’ve just recovered from the high temperature and blood pressure, when the eye sores started to appear. I have glaucoma in one eye and burst retina in another. Two months ago, I was under the examination of oculist. At that time, I had the increased eye pressure, and the doctor warned me about the risk of getting glaucoma with years. I have treated the pressure, but in two months and not in couple of years, as the doctor said, I gained glaucoma. I was assigned a specila treatment. Every single day and hour I dripped the medication into my eyes. However now, I have another problem. A week later, the medications resulted in the eye candidosis. Having the weak immune system, the body doesn’t accept medications. So far, I don’t really feel better. I went on the consultation with my former doctor to the Bishkek AIDS Health Center1 (She is not working there anymore). She said that it’s gonna be like that all the time. I will be treated from one disease, while another one will appear, until the immune system won’t increase.

I have the only solution for this – to start the ART2. We have no specialists, therefore I have to experiment with my health over and over. It is still unknown whether the therapy will be effective or not. With the way I feel now, I don’t really have chances. It’s hard for the body of 43 kilos to recover. The level of the immune cells is around 100 out of the normal rate of 1300, plus we cannot forget about the aging mechanism. I urgently need the ART specialist, at least a theoretic, who will consult me whether it’s wise to start the treatment or not. Where can I find him in this case?

I’m appealing to all you, my dear readers. Please help me to find the specialist I can consult with, otherwise it’s gonna be too late.

I do apologize for writing about my disease in details. I mean, if the person, who also have problems read it, he or she can compare and get something out of it. ART is essential for the life prolongation, however the medications must be chosen properly and the course of treatment is supposed to be under the careful monthly supervision. Anyways, the best solution is hospitalization, mandatory examination and supervision for the proper selection of the ART medication. The level of CD-43 cells should be no less than 300. This is what I can share from my personal experience.

Some of my personal observations: you have to move all the time, to do physical exercises, so the body will be always toned up. Definitely, the most important is the strong will to live. This understanding came to me accidentally. In the beginning of 2006, I was diagnosed with the pneumocystis pneumonia, cirrhosis of the liver, and anemia. Hemoglobin didn’t rise until 60. I was reeling from the weakness and pain in the body. Moreover, I absolutely had no money on food. The only food that I had daily - was flat cake and tea. I had to go and receive methadone at the place that was on the other side of the city, like in 5 or 6 kilometers from my house. I had no money for the trip, and without methadone I was literally not able to move. Every day, I get out of home at 7 a.m. to be there at 12. Having rested for an hour or two, I came back home around 4 or 5 p.m. I had no choice.

At that time I was drinking really hard. If I drank 100 grams, I had reloaded myself with some energy, but to find money on alcohol was indeed another problem. It was a really hard time in my life. I was waiting for the death to come every day and was sure that I’m not gonna survive. Only in summertime, I understood that permanent physical activity actually saved me. I will keep on writing about my will to live and how it was strengthened in my next post.

1. Bishkek city center for the prevention and the fight against AIDS at the Ministry of Health
2. Antiretroviral therapy – the drug therapy, which inhibits the spread of HIV infection
3. CD-4 – The form of lymphocytes, which serve as a basis for the immune system. HIV affects these cells first.

There is only one thing I can suggest to you and that is you need to get onto a perfect diet. This means low meats, but high protein, low carbs but tons of anti-oxidants. Low carb is not no carb. Mostly watching out for the glycemic index more than the carb intake. Basically this means you will eat lots of protein, a little fat, tons if fiber and some complex carbs, no simple carbs. And low sodium... this means you do not add sodium to anything you eat and eat nothing with added sodium as sodium raises blood pressure.
    Good diet example:

At every meal drink one glass of soy milk, not at snacks though. At each snack drink one cup of green tea with cinnamon and honey. After lunch eat one piece of dark chocolate. With breakfast drink one cup of black coffee. Every other time in the day when you are thirsty drink water. Drink at minimum half a gallon of water per day. No more than one and a half gallons. (depending on how active you are)

    Breakfast:
Egg white avocado omelet cooked in virgin olive oil, topped with some tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, any type of white cheese, on a bed of mixed greens. With one serving of oatmeal that has pecans or almonds and cinnamon added to it. If you need sweetener use Stevia, no other sweetener will suffice, and a few drops of pure vanilla extract.

Snacks (one between breakfast and lunch, the other between lunch and dinner):
Greek Yogurt with either strawberries or blueberries added to it, or a green apple on the side (Do not eat a granny smith green apple. Those are not true green apples, it is a genetically modified apple that has the appearance and taste of a green apple with none of the health benefits of the green apple). Add some almonds or pecans or peanuts to the Greek yogurt, peanut butter and cinnamon on the green apples (Cinnamon acts like insulin and reduces the effects of diabetes and helps prevent it). Add some stevia to the Greek Yogurt to take away some of the bitterness.

    Lunch:
Either tilapia or cod cooked in Virgin olive oil, lime juice and fresh garlic. Get one piece of Mrs. Baird's 100% whole grain sugar free bread and pile it with white cheese, avocado, onions, tomatoes and mixed greens. Put the piece of fish on top. If you need a sauce use mustard, or REAL mayonnaise (Miracle whip is nothing but modified food starch and is worse than eating a bowl full of sugar and ketchup has sugar added to it)

    Dinner:
Prepare a really nice salad. Mixed greens, tomatoes, purple onions, cucumbers, parsley (natural anti-inflammatory), cheese, fresh uncooked broccoli, red kidney beans, red bell peppers, and then top it with a piece of Tilapia or Wild Alaskan (not Atlantic or any other kind, Tilapia, Cod and Wild Alaskan Salmon are the only 3 fish that are low in mercury content and safe to eat.) Cook the fish in Virgin olive oil, lime juice and use lemon pepper seasoning. (Virgin olive oil from Italy, Greek yogurt and uncooked broccoli have the 3 most powerful strains of pro-biotics which work better than any anti-biotics in every way.)

This will provide you with the perfect amount of fats, omega 3,6,9's. It will give you the perfect amount of protein, carbs, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, fiber, electrolytes, pro-biotics, pectin, anti-histamines, anti-inflammatories etc. It IS a perfect diet. And it tastes good, and you practically end up stuffed all day long. And the best part, it's cheap if you shop right.

Now, that will work for you if you are lazy, active, normal, body builder, diabetic, hypoglycemic, reactive hypoglycemic... anyone.

Then there is exercise. Did you know that when you exercise your body creates two endocannabinoids that activate all your cannabinoid receptors? This increases all healthy function in the human body. ALL, healthy function. It even relieves stress and lowers blood pressure. One of them is even the third most powerful antioxidant on earth. Funny thing, it's third only two CBD and THC, both found in Marijuana. Interestingly enough they also do the exact same things as two endocannabinoids created by the body. This makes Marijuana not only the perfect supplement, but one of two of the only supplements you will need. Stimulating the cannabinoid system is the best medicine there is. Sleeping deeper also means higher Human Growth Hormone levels which means you live, not only longer, but healthier.

The only other supplement you will need is called Velvet Bean Powder. Loaded with an Amino Acid that is extremely rare on this planet, L-Dopa, it aids the body in the increased production and repair of the Neurotransmitter Dopamine. This controls muscle function, control, etc. Without it you have Parkinson's disease. It also helps you sleep deeper increasing Human Growth Hormone levels. Increases energy levels. The works... basically anything that diet, exercise and marijuana don't fix, this does fix it. You can buy it online ridiculously cheap, if you get it in a store it's super outrageously expensive. It's scientific name is Mucuna pruriens.

No vaccine, no safe treatment, no cure, no questions after 30 years ! Isn't something awry? In House of Numbers: Anatomy of an Epidemic, an AIDS film like no other, the HIV/AIDS story is being rewritten. This is the first film to present the uncensored POVs of virtually all the major players; in their own settings, in their own words. It rocks the foundation upon which all conventional
    wisdom regarding ‘HIV/AIDS’ is based.

A natural remedy for glaucoma is high doses of vitamin C and flavonoids.
