Currently the Federal Drug Control Service (FDCS) employs approximately 40 thousand people. Almost 5,000 employees are to be made redundant. Such reduction of personnel is believed to increase the efficiency of the department’s work. It’s noteworthy that just before the decree was published, mass media promulgated the information that the Federal Drug Control Service was to be totally dissolved. However, the head of the FDCS personally denied this rumour.
