A Kyrgyz drug police officer was arrested while transporting 15 kg of drugs

Kyrgyz security service officers arrested a drug mule who tried to smuggle more than 15 kg of drugs across the border with Tajikistan yesterday. In the course of the criminal's identification, the suspect turned out to be an officer of the Central Department of Struggle Against Illegal Drug Trafficking of the Kyrgyz Interior Ministry.

The official report of the representatives of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan who arrested the drug courier read as follows: "Our officers tried to stop a Honda for inspection at Chon-Talaa border checkpoint at the border with Tajikistan. However, the driver ignored the demands and rushed forward overthrowing the rising arm barrier. As a result of operative measure, the car was stopped in a few kilometers from the place of the accident."

Police found 16 bricks of drugs, weighing about 15 kg in the car driven by a captain of Central Department of Struggle Against Illegal Drug Trafficking of the Kyrgyz Interior Ministry. Reportedly, the suspects are charged under the article "Illegal transportation of drugs with the aim of sale”. They are sent to pre-trial detention center of the Kyrgyz State Committee of National Security.
