A Russian citizen of 20 was tried on accusation of distribution of drugs. The woman has sent a peculiar present to her husband who is on military service for a regular term. The soldier was to receive a battery charging set for a mobile phone stuffed with hashish. However, the addressee never received his gift.
The court found that the woman made 1.08 g of hash oil and sent it to her husband. During the special investigation activities within the Federal State Institution “Russian Post” the parcel was intercepted by drug police officers.
The suspect was sentenced to 4.5 years at a minimum-security correctional labor facility, however, the court took into consideration the fact that a son of 2 is dependent on the suspect and ruled out to set aside a sentence until the child is 14 years old.
