Last week was a great piece of luck for Moroccan drug police. They managed to catch a local drug lord who had been hiding out from the police in the mountains in the province of Azilal for several years.
The siege of his house lasted outstandingly long – at least five hours. It was stipulated by the complicated terrain features. However, even after the siege, capture of the gang leader was just a matter of chance, as, while attempting to escape, the drug lord broke his leg and so was caught.
Drug police was eager to arrest Asu Abdurakhman at any cost was stipulated by the fact that the gang leader continued to control his gang successfully, expanding his influence.
Now Asu Abdurakhman is in hospital, he is being treated after the breakup; security measures are tightened.
