Yesterday in 50 marine miles from the Spanish city of Cadis, drug police intercepted a motor boat carrying the largest cocaine consignment for the latest period. Its total weight is as big as 3 tons.
According to Ignacio Cosido, the chief of local police station, a secret operation of detection of three largest international drug trade networks called Espartana started 8 months ago. Police has been keeping tabs on drug dealers from Colombia, Bulgaria and Spain.
The interim result of the operation is the seizure of 3 tons of cocaine of high quality. It was transported from South America to Madrid by the motor boat in transit through terminal base in Galicia.
Police also arrested 31 drug dealer who used to take active part in the network’s activities.
