On old teacher from the Japanese city of Kobe with 30 years of experience in teaching almost died because of drug overdose. When he came round in hospital, he confessed that he had taken too big dose of stimulants to relieve distress and exhaustion caused by compressed timetable.
It was found out that the teacher took the drug late at night, being at home, however, he miscalculated the dose. Confessedly, he had been buying and using illegal stimulants, realizing his liability to its full extent.
Representatives of Japanese Education Council express their deep regret that the teacher who must be an example for his students turned out to be a drug user.
