French police found 26 kg of heroin in an abandoned apartment

17.08.2012

Police of Orleans, a French city notorious for its criminal situation, found a large consignment of unowned heroin in an abandoned flat.

Police officers got to the scene on call, after the neighbours found that the door of a flat in their house had been forced open. However, nobody was found in. Policemen suggested that the reason of the break-in was a theft, but valuables in the apartment remained intact. Moreover, there was a surprise in store for them: during their detour of the apartment, police found several plastic bags full of some powder resembling heroin, the total weight of the drug was as big as 26 kg.

The powder is sent for analysis. A criminal case is initiated on the ground of the drug finding.
