Football in Saudi Arabia: half of salary for a narghile

21.08.2012

Recently the world football community found out an interesting fact: the executives of Al Nasr, a football club from Saudi Arabia, have imposed a fine on its players. The amount of the fine is as big as a half of the football players’ salary.

The reason of the punishment was the information that several football players broke the rules of the club – they smoked shisha (tobacco for hookah) in a café of Abu Dhabi.

So, Al Nasr will play against Omani club An Nadha without the penalized foreign footballers Jimmy Oyufi (Ecuador), Hosny Abd Rabo (Egypt) and Shaukat (Uzbekistan).

Next time the footballers at fault will be able to take the field only during the next match in Riyadh.
