Activists decided to coordinate the time of the event aimed to support of limitless sale of marijuana in such a way that it should coincide with early parliamentary election.
The main goal of the demonstration is to persuade citizens to vote for parties propagandizing limitless sale of marijuana. The initiators hope that for two weeks the transport column led by a school bus will visit all the regions of the country.
It’s noteworthy that the law limiting marijuana sale which caused the outrage of the activists was adopted on 1 May 2012.As a result, over 590 coffee shops sold marijuana only to members of the clubs enrolling only Dutch citizens older than 18.
Legislators explained the necessity to adopt the law by their struggle against night riots and decrease in the amount of dealers who cash in on foreigners.
