Police of Dubai managed to intercept a resourceful drug mule smuggling a large drug consignment from Guinea to Morocco. 2.375 kg of cocaine were hidden inside souvenirs.
The drugs were found, following a tip, in the luggage of a passenger, a citizen of Guinea of 33. They were prepacked, shared into equal parts and hidden in a cavity inside 2 figurines.
“It was well-oiled information network facilitating to exchange the data between anti-drug departments of different countries that helped us to trace the criminal and intercept the drugs,” major general Abdul Jalil Mahdi Al Asmavi, the head of Anti-drug Department, said.
The information was received from special services of San Paolo to the authorities of Morocco, then to the head of the Anti-drug Department of Dubai.
