Police of Taiwan intercepted a fishing ship from Cambodia in nearshore zone. There were seven contrabandists transporting 80 kg of pure heroin on-board.
Surveillance over the Hun Chi U 7 fishing ship, intercepted in the Bashi straight between Taiwan and the Philippines lasted since the moment when it left the port of departure. It started after the local police had got a tip regarding planned drug transference.
The Investigation Bureau of Taiwan confirmed this information: “To oversee the ship after its dep[arture, we had to resort to the American tracking and data relay satellite system”.
It’s noteworthy that, according to the laws of Taiwan, all seven participants of the criminal voyage are to face the capital punishment for smuggling such a large amount of drugs.
