Dubai customs officers arrested a taxi driver trying to smuggle 250 g of cannabis on his way back from a neighbouring country.
According to the customs officials of Dubai, the driver aroused suspicions by his nervous behavior. In spite of the fact that he insisted he had no banned substances with him, X-ray examination of his luggage exposed presence of weird items.
The appeared to be tightly packed books including 2 English textbooks. The customs officers say that the small weight of the books got their attention. Narrow search and literature perquisition helped to find 250 g of marijuana hidden in special cavities.
The detainee confessed that all items of his luggage belonged to him except the two notorious books. He was asked to deliver them to a certain person in Dubai. The investigation is in progress.
