Forensic examination carried out in the United Arab Emirates has shown that the popular drink called the Red Bull Cola, sold in Europe and other western countries contains cocaine. The research also confirmed that the Red Bull Cola sold in the UAE doesn’t contain the drug.
It appeared that it’s enough to drink the Red Bull Cola for 10 days to make the traces of cocaine detectable in human blood.
“It’s difficult for a consumer to taste the drug in the drink, because it also contains many flavours”, the expert who conducted the test said.
The examination of the drink was carried out after an incident in Abu Dhabi. Police stopped a car. The driver was drunk and drug intoxicated, according to the test. He confirmed that he drank some alcohol, but he flatly denied using cocaine.
Investigation found that the driver had just returned from a western country where he used to drink the Red Bull Cola. It was the reason why the drug test gave positive result.
