San-Diego Police Department with anti-drug service are developing a new way of preventive measures of not involving citizens to drug business. From now on cards explaining to readers the danger and illegality of drug selling, will take place in newspapers of neighboring Mexico.
The fact is that local drug kingpins use newspapers for getting employees to own sphere. They openly offer work for drivers, accountants and bodyguards, publishing appropriate cards at local press. While hiring it is specified that in employee’s duties there is also included driving across the US territory. However, nobody informs that before the trip they make hiding places with drugs in that cars.
Therefore, in order to secure potential victims from participation in drug trafficking, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement will announce people about impending danger via newspaper cards.
“We will do the same as drug cartels do. It is pretty effective tool and we are going to use it”, - said Lester Hayes, head of San-Diego Department of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
