The head of the Canadian Department of Veterans Affairs announced to the public about the launch of a new project, in which the veterans returning from combat zones will receive marijuana to treat post-traumatic stress.
Decision to launch the project was made after the publication of the report by special medical board, which states that marijuana and hashish are much effective in relieving the patients from vague anxiety, stress and insomnia than any other drugs.
The first 30 volunteers, who were called "lucky" by many supporters of the legalization of marijuana, are successfully undergoing rehabilitation as part of the program.
In the U.S., the introduction of such a project is not even discussed yet.
