Drug-related TV Series among top popular in the US

04.09.2012

According to the Channel AMC leadership data, multi serial drama on drugs ‘the Breaking Bad’ had about 3.5 million views on the 5th season premiere day.

TV-Series events take place in the town of Albuquerque. The main protagonist is Walter White, the high school chemistry teacher who accidentally found out he had inoperable lung cancer. His wife is expecting the second, their first is paralyzed. Difficult financial condition and disease force him to break bad – he resorts to manufacturing drugs. His ex-student involved in drug dealing helps him to sale drugs.

The TV-Series idea was inspired by Vince Gilligan, the author of the world famous ‘The X-Files’. It is probably Gilligan’s talent and professional instinct to make another success worth product.

Interesting to note that Tuscaloosa town (ALABAMA, USA) police captured a real drug dealer named Walter White. But as for sheriff’s information, the captured has nothing in common with the real protagonist. Real Walter White is accused of production and distribution of methamphetamines.
