Tests of the Rome Center, which studies the level of atmosphere pollution, are the next in the whole list of unusual researches about the drug consumption by the large groups of people. The huge amount of marijuana and cocaine pieces was revealed in the air above the highly populated places of different countries.
First air tests were held in the cities of Europe and Africa for the standard procedure of identifying the concentration of toxic substances in the atmosphere. However, scientists were surprised by the results of the research. Many tests contained a large number of cannabinoid and cocaine pieces.
Angelo Chechinato, the head of the Rome Center, which studies the level of atmosphere pollution, stated that meanwhile he has all the reasons to talk about the dependence of the number of drugs the population of different regions consumes and the concentration of those drugs in the air. These results will help to create the so called “map of consumption” of drugs in different countries of the world to increase the effectiveness of the antidrug services.
It is worth mentioning that not a long time ago European scientists built the wastewater fences in big cities in order to define the location and amount of the drug consumption. Having received positive results, specialists also declared that they are ready to provide their assistance to authorities with statistics of drug consumption.
