The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency presented the terrible statistics of the heroin addiction at the recent general meeting. It concerns the Minnesota state in particular, where 37 % of pupils abuse heroin.
It was emphasized at the meeting that research was conducted among children from wealthy families, who visited sport, scientific and music groups. “The level of real youth heroinization in the region is apparently much higher,” the representative of the Agency stated.
In order to improve the situation, U.S. authorities increased the funding for the program of anonymous drug addicts among teens, and started the development of the system of drug testing for all the educational institutions of the country.
