Uzbek immigrants are hanged in Malaysia

10.10.2012

Recently, the Malaysian news agency “Bernama” spread the information about the fact that law enforcement agencies of Kuala-Lumpur detained eight Iran and one Uzbek citizens on suspicion of smuggling the large volumes of drugs. If the court finds them guilty, every suspect with no exceptions will be sentenced to death penalty and hanged.

The arrest of the drug dealers was a result of a difficult special operation, which consisted of two stages. During the first one, policemen organized the apartment search, where four Iranians lived. The policemen revealed 134 kilo of methamphetamine there. In the second raid four Iranian and one Uzbek citizens were detained. Another 50 pounds of methamphetamine were found at their place.

It is worth mentioning that the only punishment for drug dealers in Malaysia is death penalty. Moreover, the person, detained with no more than 15 grams of heroin and 200 grams of cannabis, is already considered as a drug dealer.
