As a result of the long-term research, the Taiwan virologists discovered the effective method of treatment the virus of “A” group. It turned out, that the preventive use of the methamphetamine significantly decreases the risk of getting this flu.
Scientists injected the methamphetamine into individual cells of the human lungs, and then exposed them to the flu virus. The results showed that the higher the dose of methamphetamine, the less live viruses remained in the cells. "This is the first evidence of antiviral effect of methamphetamine," the representative of the research team said.
However, it’s worth reminding that according to the statistics of the anti-drug orgnaizations, the methamphetamine is one of the most popular synthetic drugs. In the present time no less than 30 million of people consume it worldwide. This drug causes the rapid addiction by having a destructive effect on the body of a human being.
The scientists, who conducted this study, warned that the methamphetamine cannot be used in the existing form, however, they also assured that sooner or later a form of the drug that will eliminate viruses without causing collateral damage to human health will be worked out.
