In the framework of the Russo-Japanese program of the fight against the drug spread, the meeting of delegates of the health ministry of Japan with the members of the drug police took place in Moscow on November 20.
The first agreement about the cooperation of Russia and Japan in the help to Afghanistan to fight against drug business was signed in 2009. The seminar allowed to evaluate how effective were the common actions of the two countries, what has been achieved and what were the further plans of the development of the current activity.
“We understand that the international drug business is becoming the real threat to the world stability. That is why Japan has contributed to the solution of the problems of drug abuse and strengthening the position of the drug business, " Japan representative shared at the event.
It’s worth reminding that Afghanistan is one of the largest suppliers of hard drugs at the global black market. The incomes from the drug trade are sent to support the anti-governmental armed groups and international terrorist organizations.
