Recently, Asuntos del Sur, the South American non-governmental organization, published the results of the population survey among the Latin American countries on the need of marijuana legalization in the region. As it was revealed, the majority of the respondents supported this initiative.
The citizens of Argentina, Chile and Mexico at the age from 18 to 34 participated in this sociological research. Especially people of this age are considered to be loyal to the abuse of the different kinds drugs in the region.
“This research showed the dangerous tendency," the representatives of the non-governmental organizations stated. "More and more people in our countries fight for the legalization of the light drugs, which is a problem.” According to the published survey, 73 percent of citizens in Mexico answered positively to the announced question, among which 79 percent were in Santiago and 81 in Buenos Aires (Argentina).
