The incident, that recently took place in the prison, located in the French town Albi, forced local authorities to review the rules governing passing the parcels to the prison, as well as the protection of their territories. Here, during the morning walk prisoners attempted to throw over the fence 16 parcels with prohibited content.
It was the first time in France when such volume of simultaneous "transfer" of illegal parcels took place. Each of the packages contained a considerable quantity of drugs, alcohol, food, and cell phones.
"We need to resolve the issue to increase the vigilance of prison as soon as possible, - said the member of the regional Labour Confederation Yankel. - In current situation weapons and drugs penetration to the prison’s territories is only a matter of time. "
The authorities say that all this entails the increasing of tensions between prisoners and it makes easy the organization of prison riots.
