Inventor of Red Bull, Chaleo Yoovidhya, dies on Saturday in Thailand.

Millioneer from Thailand Chaleo Yoovidhya dies at the age of 89 on Saturday,  reports Associated Press  citing  local media. Founder of the  T.C. Pharmaceuticals, pharmaceutic company in Thailand, created energy drink “Krathing Daeng”   ( “Red Bull” in English language) in 1970. This drink became very popular among  long-distance truck drivers and laborers.

In 1984 in collaboration with Dietrich Mateschitz , Chaleo Yoovidhya  launched distribution of Red Bull in international market.
Forbers Magazine rated both businessmen as two of the richest people in the world. Assets of Yoovidhya are estimated to be worth several billion dollars.

Heavily carbonated  energy drinks contain  taurine, caffeine, glucuronolactone, sucrose and other ingredients that stimulate nervous system and have anti sedative effect .

Benefits and damages of energy drinks  is the subject of ongoing discussions in medical community.
