CCHR was established in 1969 in the United States as an independent association whose purpose is to expose the human rights violations committed in psychiatry and to clean up the field of mental health. CCHR is now an international organization comprising more than 130 offices in 31 countries. CCHR was able to convey his message in legislative bodies in many countries as well as to the United Nations and of most of the organizations and groups of patients. Today, the influence of CCHR is exercised around the world
